So I am addicted to novel adventures! It's so cute. I like this last episode they have pole dancing. Now why did I think of JC and Fudruckers? Speaking of I walked by a fudruckers the other day and man it smelled goood.

Thanksgiving is here and even though we left Houston because of the family craziness, it's still pretty weird. Pretty much every holiday we will spend with his sister.

Yes, I am a bah humbug person. I don't know why I am so anti-family, that's for a therapist way down the road to figure out. It's just part of who I am. I am not antifamily against my little group but against those who annoy me! lol hence The Vmeister. So now I had invited Carlos over to make the evening bearable but now we are going to their house. And we can't invite Carlos, or maybe we can, because they are really weird about who goes to their house. But I don't want to have to cook a
separate dinner. lol

So did you know that when you type you are supposed to only leave 1 space after punctuating? I didn't know that, hence above! They say it's leaves to much white space?

So David and I just got back from watching twilight! It was very fun. David and I were on our "date", watched twilight, witnessed the q & a with the director and then went out for ice cream. I have to say that my favorite part of the night was spending time with David. The movie was great. I won't say too much more until Monday. Listening to the director was tre cool! I would have been sad to not be able to go with Lily to see it but having David helped me cope. Miss ya Lily! Can't wait to hear what you have to say. bye for now, Dee

APU film festival!

Hey it's my last night of class! Yeey! It seems that it lasted forever and not 9 weeks. Poor David got on too me earlier about my language. I know another sad day in parenting (lol). It's just that dealing with imovie was really rough. It was sooooo slow, but my movie is done and has been presented! It had a glitch at the end but everyone was forgiving. I decided to make a video for Daniel. Like a baby einstein slash baby can read video. He likes it. When I would preview it he would come sit in my lap and watch.

I would send a link but it is just to big. It takes forever to download. So you will just have to imagine a fabulous film made by moi!

Another bad parent moment, here goes...
Well it's Thursday and we have no costume for Danny! WE have one for David, lol.

Oh well guess that's it. I will miss this class because it reminds me that I have a blog!

I am in class again! I played hooky last week cause I was sick.

Well tomorrow is M day! I am excited. It came so fast though and of course I left everything until the last minute.

I am having a hard time with this class. Motivation is key for me and I just can't get motivated.

So far I have made 2 movies, 1 montage about david and 1 interview. Next week I have the commercial.

Another thing that is affecting me is that we have NOOOO money!!! WE are sooooo broke! It's definitely scary. I try not to think about it, but it feels like a huge weight.

I just want to get through this to the good part. But I will try to be patient. At least I am grateful that the boys don't feel it.

Nice weather over here!

Well not really! It's been a bit hot. What I do mean is that it's been nice not having Nana and V around. (Don't know if I mentioned that they are on a cruise.) They will be back on Monday I think. We were able to go downtown and not run into V at lunch time. Things have been good.

So add a new word to Daniel's vocab today he said agua (well ba bua) but he pointed at the water! He is so creative and learns things so fast, but it's tough being his mom. He gets frustrated so fast and gets bored with stuff. I wouldn't mind that so much but his lungs are soooo loud, there is only so much patience you can have. I can't wait for next weekend I really need a break.

We got so caught up in the debate tonight that we missed David's back to school night. I couldn't have gone because I am still sick but Alex was going to go. Well David fell asleep and Daniel was asleep and the we were stuck to the tube, watchin palin and biden that we forgot to look at the time. I almost didn't write this cause there are certain "perfect parents" that would be horrified. Then I would definately be labeled the worst parent ever! lol I don't feel that bad cause we have been in a lot this year. We have met his teacher and talked to her a lot. I know, I know I used to be a teacher but what can you do? No one is perfect, lol

In class again

Yes I am sitting in class again bored. Well I am waiting for it to start.

So I started applying for jobs. My favorite, of course, is the museum one. As I think most people who know me I have always wanted to work in a museum. I also applied for a part time online teaching position. It pays nothing but the experience will be worth it for later. I am hoping to do it for about 6 months. It's evening hours anyway.

Well I am blown away with how Houston is recovering from Ike. It is so surreal for me to hear and read about the damage and the aftermath. Luckily, our house is fine. Alex' dad already checked it out. He even hired someone to pick up the branches already.

On another note, things are pretty tight around here. There were a few moments when we didn't know what we were going to do. But we came through.

It is exciting to be back! I am here at school everyone else is having problems getting online! lol
So many things have happened since we came back from Houston. Just Houston was a crazy trip in itself, lol.

Well, lets see, I walked in on M and her new man!!! That was quite embarrasing. Even so he is a twenty five year old hottie! Yum Yum!

David's back at school. His teacher is an older teacher and we will see how that goes.

Daniel is not sleeping well, that's annoying.

Back in class today is cool cause I know most of my classmates. I am very shy, no matter what people say so when I already know people I can be myself!

Nana went to the hospital Friday night cause she had the stomach flu like us. Alex also got it and he was like giving us his farewells. So now I know it runs in the family.

I bought some new shoes and people actually noticed them. They were on sale and I needed some slip ons.

Long time

It has been a while! Well class is over as of last week and what a killer it was! Alex' grandma leaves tomorrow. My brother is in town and I made it through my first earthquake.

Yes I said earthquake! It was pretty surreal.
So I finally read, since class was ending I knew I put myself in jeopardy by starting a novel or two. So in one weekend I read the first two books of the twilight series and I am hooked.

I finished the third book and for the first time, I think I will re-read a book. I can't wait to be back in Houston, even if it is for a few weeks. If only to get away from all the drama! lol
I am also looking forward towards the girl's trip. That will be very cool.
Hey on another note it's kind of weird cause tonight, Nana was sooo jealous of me. I've noticed it before but I wasn't sure. She is so insecure, I mean you have to be to be jealous of me! lol Yes V is pining after me, ha ha! Joking, no she was jealous of Grandma and me. So strange! Ah well guess it's more drama, lol

Summer is here! Well almost we still have two weeks, I know those Californians! So I will be living at V's house for a few weeks. Yes he will be my new bff. Okay so I will lock the restroom when I go over. But I am willing to go through hell and back (literally to their house and mine). You may ask why? I say can't a girl change her mind about things? Okay, okay there is a very good reason.
Today Alex' Grandma came from Colombia and she will be staying with them. I think most of you have met her right? She is amazing and being around V just to hang out with her is soooo worth it. Really she is like my own grandma. Not like the one I had at all. She is just perfect. Mine was just really traditional and a bit on the dry side, but a good woman none the less. But Alex' Grandma has a special place in my heart!

So V. here I come!!

Lately I have been soooo tired!
Anyway yesterday Carlos talked us into having a bbq. It was actually pretty cool. We also celebrated Maggie's birthday. Nana and V came like 4 or 5 hours late.

Today Marcela, Alex' cousin came over to hang out. We took Daniel to Gymboree and she came with. She spilled the scoop on living with Nana and V. She says its all good but that she gets tired of his jokes. He tried to gay hate and she was like I have a lot of gay friends. He cut it out. She is pretty straight up, hence I like her. I told her to go volunteer at the school when she gets bored. She liked the idea. She also filled me in on a lot of other gossip. Then I felt bad because I guess Nana has been going through some rough times. I had kind of backed off because I can't stand V. It's just that they are constantly together. Seems things are not going well between them.

Summer is near!

Hello again! Wow what a weekend! It was sooooo hot!! So pretty much the whole weekend I was at the pool. But you won't believe how "cute" things are getting around here. On Friday was movie night. The closed of the parking lot in downtown and then put up a screen and showed the Little Rascals. It was cool everyone brought lawn chairs or blankets. The kids were actually really good watching the movie, everyone that is Danny boy!! A group close to us had brought cushions to lay and Daniel kept crashing on their bed rather than on our blanket. It was soo strange. That little boy and his antics. If I have gray hair when I go back to visit it will be because of him!! :)
Hey then on Wednesdays they are going to have a farmer's market in the parking lot behind our house! How cool is that?

I miss home though. It's weird. I will be fine one moment but then it will just hit me and I will be sad. I can't wait to go and see yall!

Okay, besides the home sickeness I think the mean girl is finally coming out! I have finally decided that I don't care whether V is family or not he's annoying. So I just limit the amount of talk that I do when he's around. I pretty much ignore that he is there and unless I have to speak to him I don't.

Hey in the car today Carlos said "Hey you know who you remind me of?" I was like who? You won't believe it!! He said "That girl from the movie Mean Girls. The character of Lindsey Lohan." He laughed. But I laughed harder because I thought yey! I am becoming a mean girl again!

So Danny and David's party turned out great, despite the fire!
We had it that Friday and the smoke was all cleared out! Did I tell you how close the fire came? It came up to the drive ways of some houses but made it no further!!! Crazy huh?

Well LC you will be happy to know that Danny hates my mother n'law! Not really hates but he doesn't like being in the same room. Sorry I didn't call you back the other night, battery went out and Carlos was over.

I created a start page with html and CSS for my class. Basically it's my home page with all the links I use. I was going to attach it but it only works in mozilla firefox.

So Alex's cousin Marcela is staying with Nana and Victor! They are off our backs for a while!! But they are trying to pass themselves off as healthy people! They are going joggin with her and taking walks, it's pretty funny I wonder how long they will keep it up! Oh I have to tell you something funny that happened!

Sierra Madre Fire

Okay so the fires are crazy! This weekend has just been a strange roller coaster. It's amazing how tight the community is though, as well as organized. We've been told to not go outside because of the smoke. It's very deceiving though cause it looks like a beautiful day but when you do go out you can tell you body is working harder. Big D wen back to school today. We were supposed to celebrate their birthdays this Friday at the park but we're not sure if the smoke will let us. I guess we'll see. Things are not really that bad. They could have been so much worse. They seem to be containing the fire well.

Loss is never easy.

Today I learned that my sister n law's brother died. It was very sad. He had 4 children. Death is always a wake up call. The last time we saw him was, I want to say, around Christmas of 2006. He was such a cool guy. I remember when I first met him I was around 11, but I had the biggest crush on him. He wasn't the best looking but he seemed to have a cool way about him. It's funny cause after he divorced his wife he actually married a girl younger then me!

We went to the beach today with Mary, my manager. It was me and the kids and her and her daughter. Little D just loved the sand, he just got on his tummy and wiggled around. Big D had a blast dancing on the beach and running away from the waves. A couple of waves almost got littles!

I started classes again. I am taking a web design class and a multiple intelligences class. One of my professors read this quote by Elenor Roosevelt:

"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face."

That sums up how I feel every time I start a new class. I get this horrible fear before hand, but once I get through it I feel rewarded. Not sure where the fear comes from but it's quite scary!

My nerves were really going about web design. But as it turns out it's not that difficult. I will be able to get through it. In my other class I felt really good about my professor. She's a little scattered but I just got this strange feeling that I was meant to be there. Have you ever felt that? It's this weird like moment.....Okay like in the Matrix when Neo can see the code at the that the make believe world is written in. I had to really try not to cry, I know really weird!

Now I feel like crying but not in the good way. I feel really bad for C. and my brother, as well as her family.

These last few days have been really nice. The weather is good. Only problem is that for the first time in my life I have had allergies. Now I totally understand why there are so many drug commercials for allergies, they bug big time.
Today I took little d to an indoor play ground/center. It was tre cool. It's called Kids Island. Because he's under 12 months it was only 4 bucks. So the thrifty part of me wants to go every day until he's 1! lol That would be cool huh. They've got a whole infant area with a good amount of toys and things to climb, which he likes. We went a little late though, next time we will def. go earlier so that he can be completely worn out on the way home. We had to come back to get big d, so the ride home was horrible. At least it was close though. (Just down the street from the race track, past the mall.)

Congradulations to Me!

Yey Me! Today I finished my first graduate class. We ended with an online class. Each of us had to take turns leading the discussion. We had to pick the topic and questions for or peers to answer. Strangely it was the most nerve racking of all assignments. It’s one thing to present your opinions or discussions in class but online it’s a whole other story. It’s hard to gauge what people are thinking and the sense in which they say things. It went well though because I had a perfect score!! Plus I ended with my average being perfect!! Crazy huh? Now I know it’s the intro course and that I am pretty tech savvy but Al is like we should celebrate. And he’s right, it is a big deal. I am back in school and I am starting off on the right foot. I know it will get harder but the exciting thing is that I am learning a lot!

Okay on another note, I was a huge b** to V yesterday! Gosh I guess that’s not so nice on Easter of all days. So remember we went to his family’s celebration…well we follow him to his parents to pick them up. He then hands Al a walkie talkie. I’m like what? Why would he need this if were going to a park in Pasadena? Well it turns out we were going to the other side of his family, who live in Fillmore. Way out in the middle of nowhere!!!! Because we thought it was close we had made plans for dinner with a friend so we could leave V’s party early. So much for that! Okay, and I don’t mean to offend all of my safe driving friends, but he was going 59, 60, 65, the whole way. Occasionally he would hit 70. It took about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get there! You do know that I have a crazy baby who hates the car, yes? 20 minutes of screaming until he slept! On the way back it was pretty much off and on, mostly on. Anyway back to the walkie talkies. Seems V had bought new ones, an off brand probably a steal. Well thank goodness for that cause the whole way he would point out dumb little things but all we could hear was static. I was in such a pissy mood that I would just think of insults that I could hurl at him that would be short enough for when Al would respond. I managed “duh” “who cares” “cheap” and lastly and worst “idiot”. Poor guy. I think I just have had enough. It’s too much. For reals guys you know that one of the main reasons we came out here was to get away from family and we have told them on numerous occasions hoping they will get the hint. Now I fear I am worse off than before because at least in Houston we would get to rotate between the annoying families but now we just have the same ones over and over and over and over. All right enough whining!

I think it worked though cause we haven’t heard from them in a whole 24 hours!

Well today guess where we will be? Spending the day at the park with the kids? No. Having lunch by the track? No. A leisurely day at home? No. We will be spending the day with V's family. Yes one of the reasons we came was to get away from family. Yes, I am so sick of V and Nana that I could barf. Yes, I am close to my period so I am a bit of a you know what. But still we will be going. At least there will be free food and an egg hunt. Plus we won't stay that long, at least that is what Al says.
Oh yeah, so the daddy in this movie is just yummy. I will def. be taking Big D. to see this one.

Hello world!
So my pals are coming today! It is such a cool feeling. I mean you know that feeling when you buy something cool and you wanta show your friends. Well it's kind of like that I finally get to share S.M. with them. It is such a cool place. I am not sure what we will go do but it's just cool they will be here.
So on Friday after work I met up with Al at the park. I met another family. Nana and V were! I just rolled my eyes. We had seen them the night before. I get annoyed when I have to see them every day.
On Thursday Carlos came over with his nephew and another little boy. then the two neighbor kids came over it was pretty cool. We played wii games and the kids just played. Later Nana and V came over. I made tacos and beans. Carlos said they were "okay".
Today we are just waiting around. Aa. a friend of Big D. is over playing. His dad is here. The weather was crazy. It was like overcast in the morning, then sunny, then hailing and then sunny! Guess it's cause the crazy girls are comin'!

Whoosh!

Well it's definitely getting warmer! Spring is on the way. Today the pool guys came and even more exciting the new dryers arrived! Now I will be able to wash clothes here, rather than the laundry mat down the road. The laundry room is right next door to me.

Okay so today I will tell you about Lia my neighbor. She is really nice and she just turned 30. Her son is Vance. (Made up names!) He is 6 and plays with Big D. alot but he's crazy loud!

It's been nice for Big D to have people around to play with.
I am so excited that Lily and H. are coming to town! That will be nice.
I only have three classes left! I guess I better start looking at registering for next term.
Tomorrow night is Mother son game night at school. That should be fun.
So another father approached me yesterday about asking a friend of mine (another mother in the class) out! I was shocked but relieved. At first I thought he was going to hit on me cause he waited for me after school and was like walking with us, with daughter in tow. Then he starts talking about M. and I was like whooosh it's not me! But she's dating someone so I told him. He's a nice guy if not a little strange. I didn't want him to be embarrassed.
Crazy huh?

Frisbee

Today we went to the park. Actually it was a lazy day, since I had to drop off Alex at the airport at 4 am! Nana and V were calling to see what we could do, but I escaped them by holing up in Big D's room and sleeping while the kids played. It was a lovely day! Ah but don't think that I escaped they came by later to go to the park. But by that time I was rested and ready to deal. It was actually a beautiful day and the kids enjoyed it. I will say that I also enjoyed it. V and I were able to throw around the Frisbee. Maybe we can heal the rifts that are between us. lol
Tomorrow I will go get Alex and the boys will go with them to a family event of V's at a park!
Can you believe how fast this year is going?!
Carlos tricked me into going to a party on Thursday. He's crazy! But he always invites us to his family things. It's all good cause we meet new people and it takes us out of our comfort zones. We met a S.M. police officer. He was undercover! lol cause someone has been writing on the walls in the bathroom at the park. It was great!
Ah another week of craziness goes by in S.M.

All right so I am trying out a new blog. I want everyone (well all my girls) to keep up with my fascinating and fabulous life!! Ha, ha!

So Friday Al goes to San Diego and then on Saturday he flys out to "Chicago". I am not sure how this will all work cause I work on Friday. I am going to work on getting a sitter. Nana and Debs had invited me to go to the movies but that will have to wait. Once again I am annoyed with them cause we see them so much. Not at Deb but at Nana and V.
Last Friday we went to Bean Town. Maggie's band "Sugar Penny" was playing, technically it is Joe's band but Maggie is the star. She's cool. Which reminds me I want to tell you about the movies!

Gosh it was about a month ago when Maggie and I went to see Maybe Definitely. I snuck off while Nana was away to go see it. It was cool, Maggie is a bit more mellow then Nana. I have to say she didn't attack anyone. But I did almost start dying with laughter cause as the previews were on she pulled out her phone and texted. She didn't do it through the movie, I was kind of worried that she would. You know what that would mean: Friendship over!! lol
It's hard this trying out people to see if they can be my friend. Maggie is cool though and I definitely consider her a pal. We can totally count on her (plus she is one of the few people that can handle little D!)

Okay back to the concert! It was nice. We had just gotten back from Houston and although it was a bit chilly in Bean town it was burning up! Believe it or not we were one of the first people to show. But we got a good spot. Irma came with her daughter and Mima, her mom. They are a strange bunch. Later Carlos showed with Julie. Than even later Nana and V came with Dave and Debbie. They had gone out to eat (guess where? Pad Thai). They go there alot! V doesn't like to try a lot of new things. It was kind of weird seeing Dave and Deb. First we hadn't seen them in a while. Second it was weird all of us being at the same table. They were the first people besides N and V we met when we first came. Now we have more friends. It feels weird to mix them. Don't get me wrong I like them they are a lot of fun but we just don't see as much of them as our other friends.

Carlos always seems to be sad. I am glad he comes and hangs out though. It's like he's one of our kids! V likes him too. You know what was weird. Yesterday we went to Cheesecake factory and V wouldn't let us ride in his car. It was okay for Carlos and big D but not all of us. Alex brought up the point that I had said earlier that I didn't want to any way. It's true, I didn't want to but the fact that he said no bothered me! :)
